About
Your Novel Isn't Broken. It's Stuck. This 12-week small group novel coaching program is for writers who started a novel and got stuck, whether it be mid-draft, at the end of a draft, or somewhere in revision. You started writing your novel with real momentum, but somewhere along the way you stopped being sure it's working. You got stuck. Not because you don't know how to write a sentence, but because you can't see your own book clearly anymore. Or maybe you have a complete draft and know something's wrong but can't diagnose it. Either way, you don't need another lecture on story structure or a prompt to "just keep going." You need someone to actually read your pages and tell you the truth about what's working and what isn't, and help you figure out why you keep circling the same problem. This cohort is developmental editing, craft instruction, writing community, and a sustainable writing practice from someone who has actually done it. Christine Meade is a published and agented novelist as a developmental editor who has spent nearly two decades working with writers at Grub Street, Gotham Writers Workshop, and in her own private practice. She reads your actual pages. She diagnoses actual structural problems. And she stays with you long enough to help you finish. THE METHOD Most programs treat your manuscript like the whole problem. It usually isn't. The LitSet Method works on three levels, because a stuck draft—whether unfinished or fully written—is rarely just a manuscript problem. MANUSCRIPT RESET: Diagnose what's actually happening on the page and leave with a clear roadmap for finishing or revision. WRITER RESET: Understand who you are as a writer--your lineage, process, and voice--so you can focus on your book, not the book you think you're supposed to write. WRITING LIFE RESET: Build a writing life that can withstand real life, identifying your time, capacity, publishing path, and the community that keeps you going after week 12.
