I've been in your shoes. You have a scrap of a novel idea. A couple dozen pages. Or maybe a scattered full draft. And despite all the demands of life on you and your time, you want to to see your novel project through to completion. You want to see it in print.
And you know what? You deserve to make that dream a reality.

I have written six novels, got my first agent at 23, and published two books--The Way You Burn and The Moon, Her Crown--so I personally understand what kind of lifestyle choices need to be made in order to draft, revise, and pitch a novel.

As a mom of three, I'm particularly drawn toward supporting women's voices on the page, especially those in busy midlife, who struggle to create a writing life alongside all the other hats they wear.
Over the past two decades, I've helped thousands of writers of all ages improve their mansucripts. I taught for seven years as a university writing professor, I served as the director of a high school writing center with author Dave Eggers' nonprofit 826, and more recently, I've taught workshops with Gotham Writers Workshop and Grub Street. I have an MFA in creative writing, a copyediting certification, and have also published work in Writers Digest, The Boston Globe, and HuffPost. ​
